Apple AI conference keynote concentrates on accessibility

Apple gave a rare speech at a global AI conference, with vice president Ge Yue focusing on Machine Learning in accessibility features.

Ge Yue, an Apple vice president and managing director of Apple Greater China, has previously discussed the company's environmental efforts.

She has now delivered a speech at the World Artificial Intelligence Conference in Shanghai in 2022.

Instead of other broad-reaching efforts in artificial intelligence, Apple has chosen to demonstrate the technology through accessibility features in Apple Watch and AirPods Pro.

She stated that "Machine Learning plays a crucial role" in Apple's hope that its products "can help people innovate and create, and provide the support they need in their daily lives," according to IThome.

"We believe that the best products in the world should meet the needs of everyone," she added.

"Accessibility is one of our core values and is built into every product. We are committed to making products that work for everyone."

"Including the visually impaired, the deaf, the physically and mentally disabled and the cognitively disabled,"
