Apple is releasing iOS 16 to iPhones on September 12th
On September 12th, Apple announced the release of iOS 16, its latest operating system
It first announced the free upgrade last June at its Worldwide Developers Conference 2022, and a public beta was released in July.
Unfortunately, the release of iPad OS 16 has been delayed, despite the fact that the two operating systems are traditionally released together.
As a result, the plethora of features included with the update will come as no surprise
They begin with a number of improvements to the lock screen, such as the ability to add widgets and customise its appearance, as well as a new way of displaying notifications.
The release of the new operating system coincides with the release of Apple's latest iPhones, the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max,
Which will be available for presale on September 9th and in shops on September 16th.
Meanwhile, if you weren't prepared to install a beta version of iOS 16 on your existing iPhone — after all, betas are imperfect — you won't have to wait long to benefit from these enhancements.
