In a hypothetical rematch, Biden leads Trump. 

According to a Wall Street Journal poll  published Thursday, the presidential  election in 2024 was held today.

Former President Trump would be  defeated by Vice President Biden.

With 50 percent of registered voters,  Biden has a 6-point lead over  Trump in a hypothetical rematch.

They would probably or definitely  vote for Biden, with 44 percent  agreeing with Trump.

This is the first time Biden and Trump  have been tied in a hypothetical  rematch, with each receiving  45 percent support.

Biden and the White House have  both stated that he intends to run for reelection in 2024.
