Samsung is bringing Galaxy Z Fold 4's multitasking features to its older foldables
Samsung's most recent foldables, the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Flip 4, are powered by the Android 12L-based One UI 4.1.1.
According to rumors, the Korean conglomerate is now bringing One UI 4.1.1 to its previous-generation foldables.
According to Samsung's announcement, the One UI 4.1.1 update will first be available for the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Flip 3 on September 5 before expanding to more countries.
The update will also be available for the Galaxy Z Fold 2, Galaxy Z Flip, and the original Fold.
In One UI 4.1.1/Android 12L, the Taskbar will directly allow you to open apps in multi-window mode—just drag a compatible app to the display's edge.
Dragging the app to the centre of the screen will cause it to open in a pop-up view

There are also new multitasking gestures for opening a full-screen app in pop-up mode or initiating split-screen mode
In One UI 4.1.1, Galaxy Z Flip owners can do more with their phone's Cover Screen.
They can use the outer display to dial their favourite contacts, access additional Quick Settings tiles such as Wi-Fi, flashlight, and so on, and respond to messages using voice-to-text or emoji.
Furthermore, as seen on the Galaxy Z Flip 4, the Quick Shot camera feature will be updated, allowing older Flip phone users to preview and take photos in the proper ratio.
